The North Shore Wine and Food Society is a club of people who love wine and appreciate the opportunity to taste and learn more about them. We are based in North Shore City, Auckland, New Zealand and have been meeting for over 19 years.
We meet monthly and have a guest presenter with usually about 8 wines to taste and discuss and afterwards purchase if we wish to, followed by a meal and the opportunity to socialise. Our monthly meetings are catered events, and as such we require numbers by the Friday before the meeting. We also encourage people to become subscribing members after attending a couple of meetings as guests.
From mid 2006 the club night venue is Fairway Lodge, adjacent to the North Shore Events Centre and the golf course. Enter via Argus Place, off Sunnybrae Road, Glenfield. Click here for map. The club meets there on the 2nd Tuesday of each month unless the function is being held in a restaurant. Bookings are essential. Members provide their own XL5 tasting glasses - these are available for purchase from the club. Glasses can be provided for visitors.
In addition to our regular meeting, we also have other events and two celebratory meals during the year ( 1 mid-winter and the other a Christmas party) as well as wine tasting tours and special tasting events.

The club's logo represents wine and food and is a symbol of the North Shore and Auckland - "Rangitoto" - the volcanic island and icon in the Hauraki Gulf.

CLUB NIGHTS
A night for Wine Enthusiasts who enjoy diverse wines, great food, good company and plenty of fun along the way. Monthly Tasting Meeting with Guest Speakers, plus a chance to purchase the wines, followed by a meal and time for socialising.
Wines presented are an interesting variety and typically not those found on 'special' in supermarkets.
CLUB & SPECIAL EVENTS
Mid Winter party and Christmas Party. Tasting day trips and Special Tasting Nights. "Foodie" evenings at a restuarant with a special theme - hopefully a new experience for many and guaranteed enjoyable time for all.
FW & FSNZ CONVENTION
One of the many wonderful days to be had with us is a two day tour of Aucklands own tropical-island paradise, including wine and olive tastings, fine dining and unsurpassed vistas.
